  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Integrated Case Management Information System (ICMIS) to help the apex court go paperless.(ICMIS-helps with digital filing of the cases called e-filing and enables litigants to easily access the information online.It will help usher transparency, reduce manipulation and help the litigant know about the progress of the case on a real time basis).

 

  • India has decided to replace the Maitri research station in Antarctica with a new one in the next three to four years.

  • India’s first International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) at Gujarat International Finance-Tec City (GIFT) signed MoU with Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) to collaborate on efforts for Skill Development in the field of International Financial Services & Regulations. GNLU will introduce a new course on International Financial Services Centre from its June 2017 Semester. It will also organise for Lawyers covering IFSC, International Arbitration and related fields. 

  •  Ministry of finance has set up an Investor Facilitation Platform that will provide information about stocks of public sector units.

  • Indian Railways is all set to acquire the End of Train Telemetry (EoTT) equipments to run nearly 1,000 trains without guards in the current fiscal. The EoTT system is designed in such a way that it will perform the guard’s job. EoTT system comprises two units, namely, ‘cab display unit’ (CDU) which is fitted on the locomotive and ‘sense and brake unit’ (SBU) which is fitted on the last coach of the train.
