  • Indian Railways announced that they have developed a prototype of Hybrid Vacuum Toilet. It is hybrid because the design is based on both vacuum toilets and biotoilets.
  • The Election Commission of India has now introduced a specific symbol, like other election symbols, shown below, for ‘None of the Above (NOTA)’ option, to facilitate the voters in exercising their NOTA option
  • A filmmakers Wylie Overstreet and Alex Gorosh have created the world’s first 7-mile-wide scale model of the solar system in the Black Rock desert
  • Sun Pharma to sell Ranbaxy’s two CNS divisions to Strides for Rs 165 crore.
  • Ajinkya Rahane, India’s most consistent batsman in the last couple of years, has been conferred with the honorary life membership by the Cricket Club of India (CCI).
