  • Narmada got status of living entity by Madhya Pradesh government.

  • First private small arms manufacturing plant, inaugurated at Malanpur in Madhya Pradesh, it will supply world class weapons to the armed forces. It’s a joint venture between India and Israel.

  • The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) has constituted a Technical Committee in accordance with Regulation 14 of the IBBI (Information Utilities) Regulations, 2017.

  • eVIN (electronic vaccine intelligence network) project of India has got attention of five countries. Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal and Thailand are mulling to replicate India’s immunisation project. (eVIN is an indigenously developed technology system in India that digitizes vaccine stocks and monitors the temperature of the cold chain through a smartphone application.)

  • First International Young Author Awards 2017 will be held in Dubai October, 2017. To encourage young and budding authors, ‘The Write Scene’, an online portal to nurture the young talent will be organising the award.

  • Wrestling coach Captain Chand Roop has passed away. He was a Dronacharya awardee.

  • World’s biggest Xray laser generated its first light in Hamburg, Germany. The 3.4 kilometer (2.1 mi) long European X-ray Free Electron Laser (XFEL) produced a pulsing laser light with a wavelength of 0.8 nanometre. XFEL is a billion times more brilliant than conventional synchrotron light sources and can capture images at atomic resolution.

  • Thirty-four Memorandum of Understanding amounting about Rs 2 lacs crs were signed in the three-day India Integrated Transport and Logistics Summit that was concluded in New Delhi.

  • Gautam Shantilal Adani agreement 74 million dollar landmark deal with Australian steel group Arrium to buy steel for a 400-km rail line for its Carmichael coal mine project.
