  • To provide food at subsidized rate, Madhya Pradesh govt launch “Deendayal Rasoi Yojana’’ for poor. Design especially for people of economically poor section of society. Under this subsidized meal will be available at Rs. 5 per plate.

  • ‘’Journalist Protection Act’’ bill passed by Maharashtra state legislature, to safeguard & protect working journalists. Under this law any violence act with media personnel will be a non-bailable offence, 3 year imprisonment along with fine up to Rs.50000.

  • India & Israel signed defense agreement worth 2 billion dollar, largest deal ever signed by defense industry of Israel. India is world’s largest defense importer.

  • ”NTR National Award’’ give to actress Hema Malini & singer/music director/actor Bala Subramanyam. (NTR is an honorary Nandi award in the honor of Indian film actor/director/producer N.T. Rama Rao.)An annual govt recognition award, presented annually to people for their lifetime contribution & achievement in to Indian cinema.

  • 64th Film Fare Award announced,Akshay Kumar bagged best actor award for his film Rustom whereas Neerja got best film of 2016, and Pink movie got best film on the field of social issue.

  • IORAF (Indian railway organisation of alternate fuel) signed agreement with Bharat Heavy Electrical ltd (BHEL), for construction of 200 MW rooftop solar plant in Patiala under govt initiative scheme.

  • Kenichi Yokohama took charge as country director of India resident mission of ADB replaced M Teresa. ADB (Asian development bank) is an Asia regional development organization deals with reducing poverty in Asia and pacific through loans, grants and technical assistance.

  • Russia signed MoU with India, for establishment of 2 nuclear reactors in Tamil Nadu. Under strategic vision for strengthening cooperation in peaceful uses of atomic energy Russia will build 12 reactors by 2035 in India.

  • Dr. Chirag Trivedi appointed as new president of Indian Society for Clinical Research.

  • South African cricketer AB DE Villiers launched an application on mobile ‘’AB 17’’ which enable fans to interact with cricketers.
